McAfee Antivirus for Students
McAfee VirusScan Software is available to all enrolled UALR students for personal, non-commercial use. McAfee is one of the leading virus protection software applications in the world and protects against viruses and Trojan horses, as well as malicious ActiveX and Java Applets. Infected files are quarantined before they damage your system.
Instructions
Please be sure to uninstall any existing antivirus programs before installing the McAfee antivirus product. If you have problems with downloading the software, please call or visit one of the Computing Services Student Labs to obtain assistance. The Library Lab is in Room 104 on the first floor of the Library and may be contacted at 569-8727. A second student lab is in SUA 105 and may be contacted at 569-8726.
Authentication Required
Use your STUDENTS domain login and corresponding password to download McAfee VirusScan.
Example:
Username: STUDENTS\jxdoe
Password: ********

By downloading this software, you agree to abide by the following terms and conditions:
- You must be a student attending or enrolled at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock (UALR).
- You agree to only install McAfee VirusScan on a single personal computer owned by yourself or your immediate family at your residence for non-business. Please do not share your license with others. Downloads will be logged and monitored for suspected abuse.
- You are granted a single user license for a term of one (1) year. License is restricted to use during the term of attendance at UALR.
- If you experience problems downloading the files due to a slow internet connection, a CD can be obtained from the Computing Services department or one of the student computer labs. Computing Services is located in the Old Student Union Building - room 205 and the student computer labs are in the Ottenheimer Library - room 104 and in the Student Union A building - room 105.
- Use of the software is at your own risk. If you encounter problems with installation or use of the product then please contact a local computer repair facility. Computing Services cannot repair your personal computer.
