Dr. Pack became a member of the Rehabilitation Counseling faculty as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Counseling, Adult, and Rehabilitation Education at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock in August 2007. He currently serves as program coordinator for the Post-Masters Certificate in Rehabilitation Counseling Program.

Dr. Pack’s professional experience includes serving in positions such as chief executive officer, chief operating officer, program director, director of rehabilitation, and counselor in the proprietary and private not-for-profit sectors within the fields of vocational rehabilitation, independent living rehabilitation, and substance abuse services. One of the highlights of his service includes directing a Migrant and Seasonal Farm Worker program in Oklahoma from 2005 through 2007. This was a grant program funded by the Rehabilitation Services Administration with the goal of providing vocational rehabilitation services to migrant and seasonal farm workers with disabilities throughout the state of Oklahoma.

Prior to beginning his work at U.A.L.R. and while completing his doctoral training, Dr. Pack taught courses or sections of courses at the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville and at Langston University’s campus in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He received his doctorate in Rehabilitation Education and Research from the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville, Arkansas in 2007, and he earned a master’s degree in Rehabilitation Counseling from the same institution in 2001. Dr. Pack was the recipient of the E. Russell Baxter award in 2005 as outstanding doctoral student in Rehabilitation Educaiton at the University of Arkansas.

Dr. Pack’s research has been published in the Journal of Rehabilitation, Work: A Journal of Prevention, Assessment & Rehabilitation, and in the Journal of Vocational Rehabilitation. He has presented at international, national, regional, and state conferences. He serves on the editorial board of the Rehabilitation Counselors and Educators Journal, and has helped coordinate national, regional, and state conferences with the National Rehabilitation Association, it’s divisions, and state chapters. Dr. Pack is a founding board member of the Rehabilitation Counselors and Educators Association and has held the positions of Western Regional Representative and Treasurer on that board.
