College Assessment Strategy

The College of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences supports departments’ systematic assessment of student learning objectives. Although faculty, students, and other stakeholders are the heart of assessment, the Office of the Dean provides additional resources, coordinates assessment reporting and review processes, and serves as a center of accountability to higher levels of university governance. more…

College Summary Reports on Annual Program Assessment

Annual assessment reports are filed for each program in the College and are reviewed by a College Readers Panel, which provides feedback to each program and files a summary report for the College that is forwarded to the Provost Assessment Advisory Group.

The Secondary Education tracks of the Spanish, French, German, History, Political Science, and English majors are assessed by the guidelines of their Specialty Professional Associations (ACTFL, NCSS, and NCTE) and NCATE.  These reports area filed with other materials for NCATE accreditation.
