Research Interests
In the past I have examined the effects of a high
soy diet on bone resorption and vascular reactivity in rat models
under microgravity simulated environments. Using a tail suspension
method to mimic the effects of weightlessness, changes in circadian
rhythm and systems physiology have been monitored as well. Notable
changes have been recorded in bone density loss, muscle atrophy, brain
stress levels, as well as pancreatic function. I am interested in
continuing to work in conjunction with labs on the UAMS campus to
learn more about the physiological effects of weightlessness.
