FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE.....

Three Business Continuity Publications Announce Alliance To Accelerate Enterprise-Wide Continuity

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. February 18, 2003

The three continuity publications, Disaster Recovery Journal, Contingency Planning & Management and Disaster Resource GUIDE announce the formation of an alliance for the purpose of expanding the continuity marketplace. In this complex and ever-changing arena, this alliance will offer businesses and governments throughout the world access to the most current and relevant information and technologies.

Though each publication will continue to grow in their unique market niches, this major cooperative thrust will accelerate worldwide business continuity. The inaugural project will be the creation of an information portal on the World Wide Web to provide practitioners with a wealth of resources, services and information. The portal will be achieved by linking all three publication websites, www.contingencyplanning.com, www.drj.com, and www.disaster-resource.com.

By linking the three sites, business continuity professionals will be able to quickly and easily find information on numerous subjects. Articles from each publication, as well as news briefs, surveys and other listings, will be easily accessed from any of the sites.

The partnership will allow the three publications to work on an unlimited number and type of projects that will enhance and further develop the opportunities available to contingency planners throughout the world.

The annual Disaster Resource GUIDE effectively consolidates and powerfully communicates thousands of resources for business continuity and emergency/crisis management used by corporations and government agencies in the US and throughout the globe. The print and online GUIDE, organized in six content categories, provides a "big picture" overview for practitioners as well as senior management.

The Contingency Planning & Management Group, which includes Contingency Planning & Management magazine (CPM), ContingencyPlanning.com and the CPM Business Continuity Conference and Expo, is the resource for management, strategies, technology, products, and services that support enterprise-wide Business Continuity. CPM's content enables executive-level business leaders to recognize the mission critical aspects of the continuity of operations.

Disaster Recovery Journal is a quarterly publication focused on all aspects of business continuity and enterprise wide planning. DRJ, an industry pioneer, began publishing in 1987. Through its widespread readership and two annual conferences, the DRJ has become a catalyst and a leader in the business continuity industry.
