Active participation in the American Humanics Student Association provides students with practical hands-on experience with many of the program competencies. Activities include regular meetings, a fall retreat, a spring recognition event, fundraising, and service activities.

Students also prepare for the annual American Humanics Management Institute (AHMI) held in early January every year. At AHMI students have opportunities to attend workshops, participate in case study simulations, and interview for national jobs.
