Presidents Award Recipients
AWARD FOR ACHIEVEMENT
The First Presidents Award was given in 1987 to a UALR graduate who achieved success in their career, donated time and talents to their community, and remained in touch with their alma mater as a volunteer and resource person. The Presidents Award is designed to salute a graduate who combines career success with dedication to our University.

Nationally recognized financial planner, Cynthia L. Conger, CPA/CFS, CFP has been identified by Worth Magazine for a decade as one of the top practitioners in the nation included in its “Top 250 Wealth Advisors” and “100 Most Exclusive Financial Advisors” lists and was named to Wealth Manager Magazine’s “50 Distinguished Women in Wealth Management.”
The owner of Conger Wealth Management received a B.S. degree in accounting and an MBA from UALR. She has served on the UALR Foundation Fund Board since 2002 and the University of Arkansas System Foundation Inc. since 2004. She served on the national board of the International Association for Financial Planning and has chaired national conferences and presented at national planning conferences. Conger has been quoted in numerous magazines, including U. S. News and World Report, Newsweek, Journal of Financial Planning, Journal of Accountancy, Financial Planning Magazine, Financial Advisor Magazine, Investment Advisor Magazine, Worth Magazine, Kiplinger’s Personal Finance Magazine and USA Today.
Among a number of leadership positions, she has served on the Women’s Foundation of Arkansas board since 2005 and is currently president. She was inducted into Beta Gamma Sigma and Beta Alpha Psi, honor societies in business and accounting.
